Watercolor Sketchbook Journal Entry - Loose painting of a kid playing on a see saw

This is a good example of when I started to feel more confident with being loose in my watercolor painting. One an notice the color of the skin tone bleeding into the color of the jacket, but it doesn't look like a mistake. I'm honestly surprised as to how well it works. Another interesting thing that I remember thinking about when painting this piece is that the loose and chaotic appearance of splatters often make an image look somewhat incomplete or mid-process. Here I decided to leave blank the handle that the kid is holding on to. This, I think, helped add a balance with the unfinished feel of the splatters.
